Palace Show!

Last night we played a killer show at Lee's Palace. We all agreed that this was one of our best shows, so we were pretty pleased. We had a better-than-expected turnout, and the response was just awesome.
We have to send out a special thank-you to teamers Bryony and Agent Sinclair. Not only did these fine ladies post flyers, but they also arrived at the show wearing home-made (smokin' hot) Phonies shirts. Nothing like a little eye candy to inspire the troops.
All things considered the evening was a big success.

The first show for our
has been booked.
We'll be playing Le Zazou in Quebec City on May 23rd, and we want to thank Steph Vallee for getting us that show.
We have plans in the works to either hit Montreal or Ottawa the next night, so we'll be sure to keep you posted.
We've also been in contact with The Embassy in London, and things are looking good for getting a show there in May (this time we'll only drag you out to ONE show, ok girls?).
There will also be more Toronto dates, and hopefully we'll get to most towns in southern Ontario before the summer is out.
If you have a club you'd like us to play,
send me the info and we'll see what we can do!
Street Team Has Arrived
The members of our new Street Team are doing a great job promoting us. We've had visits to our site from all over Canada, and even quite a few from our neighbours to the south.
We are still looking for new members (our goal is to have at least one person
in every province), so if you're interested in helping us out, just drop us a line.

The Phonies Demo
The Phonies have completed a studio 3 song sampler that we are selling/giving away depending on our mood. Chances are that if you get in touch with us we'll fire off a freebee, so just drop us a line. The CD includes Come Back Again, Madeliene, and a new track called You Remember.

Dan-O-Sound
We want to give a HUGE plug to our "super-producer" Dan Preston (danopresto@hotmail.com). Not only is he a killer producer/engineer/storyteller (and dancer as we discovered), but he's also an all-round great guy. He sufferred through two days of recording with a half-broken nose to get our stuff done, and only complained about it 3 or 4 times an hour. What a trooper. So, if you need ANY recording done, we suggest you get in touch with him and see if you can hook something up. We personally want to give him a big thank you for all the help (not to mention deals) he's given us over the past few months.

For Example!
There will be a new track from the album heading your way soon. "Under the Net" will be recorded. What we're going to do is post it on the website as an invisible link (easter egg).
You guys(StreetTeam Members Only) will know where it is.
In fact, the last 3 tracks on the album will be posted as invisible links.
The first 3 songs are there for the taking, but the last three won't be quite so easy to find.

Video Shoot
Luckily, for those of you who didn't get to make it out to the show (which is pretty much all of you, damn 19+ venues), the entire show was videotaped by Tommy Ferris and will be in our upcoming video.
Tommy assured us that things looked sweet from his side of the lense, so the video should turn out A ok. There are two more days of video shooting scheduled.
Tommy will head into the studio with us this Friday as we record "Under the Net" to get some more goodness, and the shooting will wrap-up this Sunday with some shots of us playing where it all started: the basement.
The band and Tommy are all excited to get this project finished and see if we can get a spin or two on Much Music or Musique Plus.

And I think that's about it. You're all caught up on the latest news, and now it's time for bed.
You may notice that we're not "around" as much (emails, MSN, etc). We're down to the last 6 or 7 weeks of class, so things are getting really busy. Be sure to keep in touch with us through email or our message board, and as soon as this rough patch has passed things can get back to normal.
We'll be sure to keep you all posted on what's going on; together we can get through this.
