The Long Weekend Lounge
There can never be enough long weekends.
We were thrilled to be able to play here.
This place is going to rock.
London Calling....
London last night was killer. Things looked pretty bleak when we got there,
but boy are we glad we went. After doing a quick radio interview at "Prince Albert's", we headed over
for our first show at "The Zone".(we thought it might have been "The Dead Zone") Although this
was our original booking, it ended up being a warm up set. Three members of Houdini, calling themselves just Dini
rocked out for a good 15 minutes and warmed up the crowd (by crowd I mean approximately 15 people, all of whom
we knew!). The Phonies took the stage and ripped through a quick 30 minute set. Although the turnout wasn't terrific,
we had a blast.
This month we are a "featured indie band" on the online rock magazine "Rockstar News". Be sure to check out their site and let them know how much you all dig The Phonies.

Dan-O-Sound
We want to give a HUGE plug to our "super-producer" Dan Preston (danopresto@hotmail.com). Not only is he a killer producer/engineer/storyteller (and dancer as we discovered), but he's also an all-round great guy. He sufferred through two days of recording with a half-broken nose to get our stuff done, and only complained about it 3 or 4 times an hour. What a trooper. So, if you need ANY recording done, we suggest you get in touch with him and see if you can hook something up. We personally want to give him a big thank you for all the help (not to mention deals) he's given us over the past few months.

After our set at The Zone we headed over to The Whippit Lounge at The Embassy. There were a few bands before us that were really good, and it was a fun place to play. Houdini went on right before we did and played a killer set. You should all expect to see The Phonies and Houdini hooking up for a few more shows. The Phonies went on at about 11pm and played for a solid 50 minutes or so. What a good time.
We managed to get rid of a wack of CDs, and it was honestly the most fun show we have played in years.

our new boys Houdini, as well as the other bands that played the Whippit last night and let us have some
time. London totally rocked,

THE PHONIES EP SET FOR EARLY SUMMER RELEASE!!
That's right kiddies, a yet to be titled 6 song EP will be released some time in late June or early July. We've got studio time booked this month, and we'll be finishing up in February and May. So, keep it tuned right here for the latest news, as well as some sample MP3s!
Playing The Game!
The EBT 2K1 has had a tough time getting off the ground,but we're still plugging away at playing some shows. Unfortunately, the simple act of getting a booking has been far more difficult than we ever imagined! Even when we thought the show was a go, some sort of "screw-up" bumped us.
We are learning hanging tough and being creative.
To use the words of Mike Myers in Wayne's World......"she will be mine"
