Concert Connections!?
Well, things at the Phonies Camp are going pretty well. We just had a meeting with Zeke Myers (manager of Clarknova), and he's going to help us get some shows. The first one should be pretty soon, so stay tuned for a "Concerts" section. Zeke has some great ideas, and we're going to get on top of things a.s.a.p. We'll be putting together a press kit and all that good stuff, and hopefully some poor schmuck at a label will find us mildly entertaining.
Yes it is true, The Phonies have a web cam! We will be posting live images from time to time. Stop by often to see what is new.
| MIKE IS BACK! Dan, Brandon and Jeffers would like send out a big "welcome home" to Mike Our Faithful Business Guy. Mike just got home after being in Italy for two months, and we're glad to have him back (the business stuff is a bit out of our league, hence the lack of activity for the past little while). Now that we have our unofficial fourth member back, things should pick up for the rest of the summer. |

Spice Phonies????
We've got some hilarious ideas on the go. Brandon's going to be doing some awful animation, (click Here for a tid bit) so keep on coming back to check it out. It'll for sure give you a laugh. Nothing like a little autodesk animator for hilarious scenes of gratuitous violence towards bands we hate. And the evil tempresses, oh boy. Are you ever in for a treat!!

Lava Lounge Show We've got a show on July 14th with Mindz Eye at the Lava Lounge, so we will be busy preparing a kick ass set for all who attend. We're hoping to get a good live recording done at the show, so those MP3's we promised will arrive shortly. Backyard Fest 2001 Thunder? Lightning? Rain? Can those three things stop Backyard Fest? No way. We literally just finished playing our first official show as The Phonies, and we're all feeling pretty stoked. There were times that we thought we would have to cancel the show because of the weather, but good old mother nature must have a soft spot for the band. Many freinds and neighbours did a great job of constructing a tent to keep the gear dry (pics will be posted a.s.a.p.), and luckily the skies cleared just in time for the show. The set was video taped, and we plan on getting the audio in MP3 form really soon, so check the downloads section for some live tracks. We want to thank the Morgans for having us for yet another summer, and we especially want to thank everyone who helped set up the tarps and whatnot. Also, thank you to Kelly for video taping and picture-taking, both of which will help us in our quest for fame and stardom.
Recordings The recording sessions have dwindled because we have been writing and rehearsing, but we still plan on having a demo quality album done by the end of the summer. If we record all our stuff it could be over15 songs, but we'll probably chose the top 7 or so for the final cut. Our live shows will be recorded, so be on the lookout for new MP3 postings in the Downloads section after our shows.
